What you need to know

Deleting your Totchi account is permanent and cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

  • Your parent account and all associated personal information

  • All child profiles linked to your account

  • All listening progress and story history for every child profile

  • Your topic access settings and preferences

What is not deleted automatically

  • Your subscription — account deletion does not cancel your Totchi subscription with Apple or Google. You must cancel it separately, using the steps below. If you do not cancel, you may continue to be charged.

  • Certain records retained for legal compliance — deleted within 12 months in accordance with our retention schedule and not used for any other purpose.

Cancel your subscription first

Account deletion alone does not stop billing. Cancel your subscription before deleting your account.

On iPhone or iPad

Go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Totchi and tap Cancel Subscription. For refund queries, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

On Android

Open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Totchi and tap Cancel subscription. For refund queries, visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.

Deletion options

Option 1 — Delete from within the app (recommended)

  1. Open the Totchi app and sign in

  2. Go to Account Settings

  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account

  4. Confirm your decision when prompted

Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email your request from the address registered to your account:

Send your deletion request to:

Subject: Account deletion request
Include the email address on your account so we can locate it. We will confirm receipt within 2 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What happens next

  • Account access is revoked immediately upon deletion

  • All personal data, child profiles, and listening history are permanently deleted within 30 days

  • You will receive an email confirming completion

  • Any data retained for legal compliance is deleted per our retention schedule and not used for any other purpose

This process is carried out in accordance with your rights under UK GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure).
